Work with Underserved Youth Across the Nation! Looking for volunteers to serve as online mentors/tutors for middle school students:

Looking for a way to give back to the community? Passionate about advancing educational equity? Need to fulfill a service requirement?

CovEducation (CovEd) is an educational non-profit that provides free tutoring and mentorship to K-12 students from low-income communities or underrepresented backgrounds. CovEd is working with a research team to provide free online mentoring and academic support to help students recover from the impact of remote learning during the pandemic. The team is looking for undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates willing to mentor high-need middle school students in the Chicago area.

As a mentor, you will meet with students online twice a week during the school day for 30-45 minutes. We will provide you with training to help you build relationships with students, use online tutoring tools and support students who may be struggling with the return to school.
