The Market Design Initiative (MDI) was established within Columbia’s Department of Economics and Program for Economic Research (PER) in 2018. The goal of MDI is to foster research in Market Design at Columbia and the greater NYC area. MDI’s main activities are to organize an annual Market Design conference and workshops, and to host visitors. The director of MDI is Yeon-Koo Che.
