You are invited to attend a special talk on April 12 at 6:00 p.m. on the topic of race, education, and inequality featuring Sean Reardon, Professor of Poverty and Inequality in Education, and Professor of Sociology at Stanford University.

One of the nation’s leading authorities on education policy, Professor Reardon will deliver remarks entitled, “Affirmative Action and Educational Inequality: What the Evidence Says,” followed by a conversation and Q&A led by Jennifer Lee, Julian Clarence Levi Professor of Social Sciences at Columbia.

In his remarks, Professor Reardon will explore the links between higher education and social inequality in light of upcoming Supreme Court decisions on race-conscious admissions, and provide a scholarly frame for understanding affirmative action policy, including empirical trends in educational inequality and their broader effects.  It promises to be an illuminating discussion at a critical moment in higher education.  We hope you will join us.

Professor Reardon’s talk will take place at The Forum at Manhattanville on the 2nd floor (Foyer) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12th. Please RSVP here.
