The following RA position is unpaid. However, if you are a CC student then you may apply for the Parker Summer Research Prize of $2500. See the Economics Department Information page on this wiki for more information about the Parker Summer Research Prize. The deadline for the prize applications is April 20.

Prof Dan O’Flaherty would like an RA for the summer to work on police homicides. At this time, he has at least one police homicide data set. The summer will concentrate on accessing the FBI date on law enforcement agencies, and linking the police homicide data to information on the responsible law enforcement agencies, and in some cases, the populations served by those law enforcement agencies. There will also be work on some cross-verification of the police homicide data, and with some historical data. Knowledge of excel and STATA is required.
