The Urban Institute’s Center on Education Data and Policy has two openings for junior education policy quantitative (or mixed methods) researchers:
- Research Assistant: ideal for 2022 bachelor’s recipients or prior graduates with 0-2 years of experience.
- Research Analyst: ideal for 2022 master’s recipients or folks with a bachelor’s and 2-4 years of experience in education policy research.
Our work spans pre-k through postsecondary, with topics of current projects including universal pre-k programs, school segregation, school funding, student loans, and college affordability.
Urban Institute research assistants and analysts work alongside mid-level and senior researchers and frequently coauthor reports, data visualizations, blog, and other public products. Many go on to graduate programs in public policy, economics, and related fields.
