The Economic Research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking to hire research assistants starting now and starting next summer. Research assistants help economists in the department with their academic research and policy work. We are looking for graduates with any major, a strong technical background, and at least an interest in economics or finance. An ideal applicant would seek to pursue a graduate degree after completing the two-year research assistant program. Candidates should have knowledge of statistical software such as Stata or R or programming languages such as Python, C++, Julia, Matlab, or Mathematica
