The National Academy of Social Insurance is a nonprofit research think tank based in Washington, DC. We are recruiting students for a variety of paid policy internships focused on social insurance matters such as health and Medicare policy, Disability policy, and Workers’ Compensation research and policy. Our internship opportunities are targeted for graduate students, recent grads, and undergraduate students. Students pursuing courses of study in health policy, health economics, public policy, social policy, or related subjects are urged to apply for one of our six 12-week summer internships. The deadlines to apply are February 8th and March 9th, 2024, respective to the chosen internship. Interested students can apply here.
This 12-week program provides an invaluable opportunity for outstanding graduate and upper-division undergraduate students to experience the world of social insurance policy firsthand. For nearly 30 years, Academy interns have entered these important policy fields through:

- Networking opportunities: Build relationships with a diverse network of professionals in the field.
