This career fair is a great opportunity to meet startup representatives face-to-face to learn more about working at a growing company. 32 startups are attending to recruit Columbia talent for internships and full-time positions. Here is a filterable list of the organizations attending.

2. COMMUNITY IMPACT’S GEORGE VAN AMSON SERVICE FELLOWSHIP

Established by Community Impact, the George Van Amson (GVA) Fellowship provides CC, SEAS, Barnard, and GS undergraduate students with a $3,000 stipend to non-profit internships in New York City. Deadline: March 9, 2018

3. CCE’s SENIOR JOB SEARCH MEETUP GROUP

The Job Search Meetup for Seniors is a 7-session structured program designed to promote community and support graduating seniors engaged in early stages of the job search. 4. L’OREAL’S SOPHOMORE SEMINAR

Ever wonder what you can do with your major at a world leader in the Consumer Products industry?

After the success of last year’s inaugural program, L’Oréal is thrilled to be once again hosting a two-day intensive on March 23 & 24 focused on giving current sophomores an unique, hands-on learning experience of what it would be like to work not just at L’Oréal, but a global organization.

There are two tracks that students can pick from: supply chain and marketing, but they are looking for students from any and all majors. See the attached flyer for more information.

5. D.E. SHAW GROUP’S DISCOVERY FELLOWSHIP FOR SOPHOMORE WOMEN

The D. E. Shaw group is a global investment and technology development firm with more than $46 billion in investment capital.

They are seeking talented and intellectually curious sophomore women for the opportunity to sharpen their analytical skills in discussions with their investment professionals, attend lectures given by senior leaders and outside speakers, and interact with a cross-section of the firm’s senior leaders and employees.

Participants will receive a $1,500 stipend, accommodations, and travel to and from their New York City headquarters from the morning of May 23 to the early afternoon of May 25.

6. ECONOMIC POLICY FELLOWSHIP

The Sonoma County Economic Development Board is seeking graduating seniors for its Economic Policy Fellowship program.

Every year the Sonoma County Economic Development Board offers four, year-long, paid fellowships. This year, the program will begin July 9, 2018 and end June 28, 2019. Based on individual qualifications and interest, each of the four selected fellows will be assigned to one of four focus areas: Economic Research and Program Development, Workforce Innovation and Public Policy, Tourism and Hospitality, and Strategic Initiatives. This year-long program affords an excellent opportunity for high-energy, organized, and entrepreneurial individuals looking to develop many important professional and project management skills while working under minimal oversight. This position is a great fit for someone who is a strong project manager, enjoys networking, values a convivial environment, and is passionate about economics, politics, and public policy.

Students with backgrounds in economics, political science, public policy, or liberal arts with research and report experience are particularly encouraged to apply. See the attached flyer for more information or visit sonomaedb.org.

7. FEDERAL POLICY INTERNSHIP
Penn Hill Group, a leading bipartisan government relations firm focused on education and workforce issues, is currently accepting applications for its Summer 2018 Internship Program in Washington, DC.
