Job Vacancy:
Researcher
Requirements:
1. Indonesian female/male
2. Minimum Master’s degree (S2) in economic or social sciences
3. Fluent in English both oral and written
4. Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing and conducting studies on public policy
issues (e.g. formulating research questions, preparing research proposals, gathering
and analyzing data, conducting interviews and/or focus group discussions, writing
policy paper & research reports, etc)
5. In a fit and healthy condition to conduct field research
6. Good leadership skills to work autonomously both individually as well as in a team
and to meet deadlines even when under pressure
7. Academic publications and experience in operating statistical software for data
processing (e.g. Indonesia Family Life Survey) is an advantage
Tasks and responsibilities:
1. Conducting public policy research on various aspects in accordance with the relevant
topics that CIPS is working on. This is including but not limited to food trade policy,
education, public health, migrant workers, property rights, and entrepreneurship.
2. Preparing draft policy papers
3. Organizing seminars, meetings, and discussions with relevant stakeholders and
policymakers to advocate research results
4. Conducting both research and advocacy efforts in accordance with the official
commitments to the donors
5. Building and maintaining partnership with people from other organizations who
have similar interest and work area, including researchers, local community,
government agencies, NGOs, etc.
