Dr. Natalia Pasternak is a microbiologist, author, and science communicator, with a PhD in bacterial genetics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She is the founder of Instituto Questão de Ciência (Question of Science Institute), which promotes the use of scientific evidence in public policies. She’s the author of two books on science popularization, with Science in Everyday Life winning Brazil’s National Literature prize for best science book in 2021. The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) named Dr. Pasternak as one of its 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world in 2021.
