Interested in Medicine? Social Justice and Human Rights? A leadership position on campus? All three?! Join the Doctors Without Borders Student Chapter at Columbia University for 2023-2024 year!

Our student chapter was created with the mission to bring together a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to advocacy and the principles of humanitarian medicine that aims to advance medical ethics and improve access to healthcare globally.

Our student chapter seeks to create a community in which students can thoroughly learn about, support, and advocate for several international contexts of refugees, minority and women’s rights, environmental justice, and mental health.

We facilitate these spaces through a variety of events and actions including, but not limited to, teaching life-saving skills used by MSF doctors abroad, advocacy campaigns, speakers and mentors from MSF aid workers (The MSF Headquarters is very close to campus!), film screenings, fundraising efforts, petition drives, and other events on and around campus!

If you are interested in joining, apply using our interest form, and we’ll reach out with further details regarding joining the general body, and applying for the executive board!

Executive Board positions (including President) are open NOW through APRIL 25th. Apply here!
