The Brookings Institution Center on Regulation and Markets is holding a series of workshops designed to introduce graduate students to topics in regulation. The workshops feature both academic economists and economists at US government agencies who will discuss current regulatory issues, economic research, data availability, and opportunities for further research.

On April 25, our workshop will feature economists from the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and academic economists who have used AHRQ data. This virtual event will introduce students to some of the datasets that AHRQ maintains; academic researchers who have accessed AHRQ data will describe their work using those datasets. This workshop is specifically aimed at students who are interested in health economics.  Registration is free and open to current graduate students.
