Join the Columbia Political Union (CPU) on Tuesday, May 18th, from 8:00-9:00 PM ET, for a conversation with Professor Robert Reich, Chancellor’s Professor at UC Berkeley and the United States Secretary of Labor from 1993 to 1997 under President Bill Clinton.
Reich graduated from Dartmouth College in 1968 and attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He later earned a JD from Yale and worked in the Ford and Carter administrations. Professor Reich is now a prominent political commentator, and the author of 18 books on income inequality, including the bestsellers The Work of Nations, Reason, Saving Capitalism, Supercapitalism, and Aftershock: The Next Economy and America’s Future. He is also the board chair emeritus of the watchdog group Common Cause and founder of the nonprofit Inequality Media.
Reich joins us to discuss his work in the Executive Branch across multiple presidencies, as well as his thoughts on inequality in the United States and around the world. He will be introduced by his son Adam Reich, Associate Professor of Sociology at Columbia. Follow his Twitter, check out the Facebook event, and below is the Zoom link. See you there!
