ABOUT THE FAIR

Research Fair Tracks

The fair will exhibit projects across three thematic tracks:

  • Data Science and Society: From social media platforms to more established media outlets, data science is transforming the way we interact with each other, process information, and build a more just and equitable society. This track focuses on the possibilities of integrating data science with larger society to create a better and interconnected world.
  • Interdisciplinary Data Science Applications: Many fields across the sciences, humanities, and industry are increasingly using data science and machine learning techniques to analyze the massively complex systems in their respective fields. This track bridges data science research with other interdisciplinary sciences and industry sectors to uncover hidden patterns in the phenomena that surround us.
  • Data Science and Computer Science Research: Modern data science builds on advances in areas such as statistics, machine learning, and computer science. This track encourages research projects in any of these core areas, broadly defined. This can span statistical modeling and techniques, algorithms and theory, machine learning (theory and applied), data and computing systems, and more.
