Synergy: The Journal of Contemporary Asian Studies is an undergraduate academic journal housed at the Asian Institute of the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. We are currently inviting submissions for our monthly online publication for the academic year of 2021-2022. Our Journal seeks to publish the world’s premier undergraduate work pertaining to the study of contemporary Asia, specifically on the current political, historical, societal, and/or economic developments in the Asia region. Submissions are open to all individuals within the scholarly community around the world, with preference given to rigorous undergraduate submissions. Syn
Types of Accepted Submissions:
Synergy: The Journal of Contemporary Asian Studies accepts academic scholarly contributions in the following categories:
- Academic Articles should present moderate original academic research. The accepted language of the academic article is English.
- Op-Eds and Book Reviews should be insightful and contain critical analysis on recent events, or of recently published academic works.
- Original Photography and Videography should present original work from the submitter.
