The Center for RISC (Radical Innovation for Social Change) at the University of Chicago is hiring Analysts! We are an unconventional nonprofit founded by Dr. Steve Levitt (of Freakonomics fame). Our goal is to identify and scale unorthodox solutions to some of the world’s biggest social problems. Our team is advancing the smart use of technology in criminal justice, helping potential organ donors reach donation weight, and modernizing approaches to K-12 education, to name just a few.

You will join a small team whose backgrounds have included data science, economics, mechanical engineering, and philosophy, and who have worked in tech and venture capital, consulting, and policy. Analysts will be responsible for researching the root causes of various social issues, proposing creative solutions, and piloting those solutions.

Ideal candidates are curious and resilient self-starters who are excited about our mission and willing to venture off the beaten path. We welcome applicants from all fields of study.
