AMSE is inviting applications for three-year PhD grants starting in fall 2019, see the attached application guidelines or visit the AMSE website.

  1. EcHoPPE PhD grant 2019-202
    Economics of Housing and Public Policy Evaluation.
    There are many public interventions on the housing market, and their impacts are far from being fully understood. The EcHoPPE project aims to help to have a better understanding of the consequences of these public interventions, both at the micro- and macro-level and considering both efficiency and equity aspects. As part of the EcHoPPE research project which gathers researchers from TSE (Thierry Magnac), LIEPP-Sciences Po (Etienne Wasmer) and AMSE (Alain Trannoy), the main focus of the PhD candidate will be on housing economics and inequality of social conditions.  For more information about the research projects: Alain Trannoy.
  2. ImChild PhD grant 2019-2022
    The Impact of Childhood Circumstances in Induvial Outcomes over the Lige-Course.
    IMCHILD is a network funded by national research agencies of different European countries (France, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden) to investigate issues related to equality of opportunity in a European context. The specificity of the research program is to focus on the life cycle perspective, from cradle to retirement. The two supervisors will be Alain Trannoy (Aix-Marseille Université) and Arnaud Lefranc (Université de Cergy-Pontoise). As part of the IMCHILD network, the research project should address issues related to equality of opportunity and intergenerational mobility. For more information about the research projects: Alain Trannoy.
  3. MaRiNE PhD grant 2019-2022
    Managing Risk on Networks.
    As part of the Managing Risk on Networks research project, the main focus of the PhD candidate will be on economic and social networks. The PhD research project must relate to one of the following themes: Networks as channels for risk sharing; Networks as conducts for information.
