Banking Regulatory Analyst

Position summary:

Candidate should be self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented, collegial and able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously. The position would be well-suited to a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is comfortable interacting with professionals at all levels of the twenty-five largest U.S. commercial banks (Owner Banks) and the U.S. federal banking agencies. S/he must be able to take initiative, prioritize with minimal supervision and work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Qualifications desired:

  • Relevant private or public sector financial services experience.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Proactive identification and analysis of legal/regulatory issues important to our Owner Banks.
  • Draft (and assist outside counsel with) comment letters, position papers, talking points and other documents and communications for standard-setters and regulators.
  • Plan and lead TCH committee meetings and conference calls with our Owner Banks and other trade associations on a variety of topics impacting the financial services industry.
  • Coordinate post-comment letter advocacy efforts with, and represent the conclusions and recommendations of TCH with, standard-setters, regulators and the media.
  • Work closely with TCH’s Research Department on quantitative research studies that provide empirical data supporting TCH advocacy initiatives and participate directly in meetings and discussions with regulatory agencies and the media to review the quantitative research studies.

  • Proactive, self-starter who can be relied upon to take initiative and work independently, with ability to multi-task and prioritize objectives and deliverables.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented workplace.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
