The Federal Reserve Board and the Reserve Banks continue to hire Research Assistants for positions that generally begin in the summer. We’re also accepting applications for summer internships, with a variety of research and non-research based positions available. To apply for summer opportunities, students should search the “interns” category on each bank’s job site.

We seek to recruit students with diverse backgrounds, interests, and perspectives. As a major employer of PhD economists, the Federal Reserve is taking on a leadership role in making sure that women and students from underrepresented minority groups have the opportunity to become interns and research assistants and to explore career paths in economics.

Information on our programs along with application instructions and deadlines for positions at each of the 13 System institutions is available at www.fedeconjobs.org. We appreciate your referral of interested and qualified students.
