The Hoover Institution at Stanford University is offering a one-week public policy boot camp that will take place at their campus from August 16 – 22, 2020.

This program, which covers the essentials of today’s national and international public policy landscape, will instruct college students and recent graduates in the economic, political, and social aspects of US public policy.

Topics are chosen based on their immediate relevance to today’s public policy challenges, meaning that students will focus on developing and applying critical reasoning skills to public policy formation. They will also have a unique opportunity to interact with the faculty of Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, which is made up of scholars in economics, government, political science, and related fields.

The program is free of charge to accepted participants (including lodging and meals). Attendees will be responsible for travel costs and incidentals. The early bird application deadline (which requires no application fee) is January 22, 2020. The final application deadline is March 16, 2020 ($100 Application Fee).

The application and additional information can be found here: 2020 HISPBC APPLICATION.
