Richard Clarida Sworn in as Vice Chairman of Federal Reserve Board
Columbia University economist Richard Clarida was sworn in as the Federal Reserve’s vice chairman on Monday, the central bank said in a statement. Mr. Clarida will serve as the No. 2 to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, who administered the oath of office. Mr. Clarida was nominated to a four-year term as vice chairman in April by President Trump, and the Senate confirmed his nomination in August on a 69-26 vote.
