Speaker:
Christopher Ryan, Associate Professor in the Operations and Logistics Division, The University of British Columbia

Christopher Ryan is an Associate Professor in the Operations and Logistics Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Before joining UBC Sauder he was an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He does research in optimization theory, game theory, contract theory, operations management, and video game design. His emerging areas of interest are operations of education and development, small business operations, the history and philosophy of the science of management, and pedagogy for business education, including K-12.

Course materials and prerequisites: He will provide slides and references during the course. The goal is to be somewhat self-contained. Pre-requisites are real analysis and linear algebra; previous exposure to convex optimization is a plus.
