Carroll Round Undergraduate Economics Research Conference
Deadline Extended – Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until 11:59 PM March 20, 2024, an extension from the previous deadline of March 13th. The Steering Committee recognizes that applications made at this time may represent works in progress.
This year’s conference will be held at Georgetown University from April 18 to April 21, 2024. In addition to presentation sessions, we hold keynote lectures and events throughout the weekend. Our keynote speakers for this year are Dr. Olivier Blanchard, former Chief Economist of the IMF and current Robert Solow Professor of Economist at MIT, and Dr. Wendy Edelberg, Director of the Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institution and former Chief Economist at the CBO. A list of our past speakers can be found here.
We are committed to making the conference accessible to those who wish to participate. We encourage all applicants whose research demonstrates econometric rigor and original insight to apply. Funds may be available to cover the cost of transportation to Washington for participants. In the past, the Steering Committee has been able to meet the vast majority of participants’ outstanding financial needs.
