The 21st Economics Graduate Students’ Conference (EGSC) at Washington University in St. Louis will be held in person on Saturday, October 10th, 2026. The submission deadline is Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at 11:59 PM (CDT). Selected presenters will be notified by end of August.
The EGSC is an annual student-run conference hosted by WashU since 2006, bringing together PhD students from programs across the country to present and discuss quality research in all fields of economics. Previous conferences have received over 300 submissions, with approximately 20% of applicants selected to present. Each session is chaired by a faculty member from the WashU Department of Economics or an economist from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
