The Brookings Institution and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) invite graduate students to attend an engaging virtual workshop on Tuesday, February 27 from 1-4 pm EST. This workshop is designed exclusively for graduate students aimed at discussing the critical role of the CFTC in global financial markets as well as the significant contributions of economists in shaping public policy and conducting important research at the CFTC. This is a unique opportunity for graduate students to gain an introduction to how economists leverage data to inform policy decisions and advance research, with a special focus on the resources available at the CFTC. The workshop is free but preregistration is required.
