Columbia University Economics PhD students in years 2 and above are invited to attend a virtual information session about the Amazon Economics summer 2020 internship program and application process. It will be an informal conversation with alum, Sergey Kolbin, another Amazon Economist (Nahyeon Bak, cc’ed), and a representative from the Amazon Economics recruiting team. It will be a joint virtual session with graduate students from Columbia and NYU. Sergey  joined Amazon as a full-time economist in 2016 after finishing Econ PhD at Columbia, and is excited to answer any questions students might have about the internship program or working at Amazon in general. Nahyeon finished her Ph.D. in 2019 at the University of Washington and was an intern at Amazon in summer 2018.

See more information below:

We’ll host the meeting over Google Hangouts on Jan 31th at 3 pm. Students can join the meeting via this link and should RSVP here. Those who are unable to attend the session can find more details in the internship job posting and are also welcome to email me (kolbins@amazon.com), Nahyeon Bak (nahyeon@amazon.com) or econ-internship@amazon.com with any questions. We recommend that students interested in an internship for summer 2020 apply by the end of February.
