ECB Conference on Money Markets 2026,

to be held in Frankfurt on 5–6 November 2026 at the ECB

Submission Deadline – 31 May 2026

The conference offers the opportunity to present your research to leading academics, market practitioners and policymakers in the field of money markets and monetary policy implementation.

Topics for submission include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Money markets and monetary policy implementation, for example related to the demand for and distribution of central bank reserves, central bank operations, money market rates and frictions, and central banks’ operational frameworks

  • Money markets and technological innovationsuch as stablecoins and other tokenised assets, CBDCs, instant payments and more broadly how artificial intelligence impacts money markets

  • Thefunctioning of money markets, including the role of non-bank financial institutions and dealers’ intermediation, funding strategies of financial institutions and debt management offices, the effects of central clearing, as well as the macroeconomic implications of volatile short-term rates and geopolitical developments, particularly for the transmission and effectiveness of monetary policy

We particularly welcome contributions focusing on the euro area and submissions from female researchers.
