The Directorate General of Economic Research at Banco de México is pleased to invite Ph.D. students in Economics, Finance and related fields to apply to the Summer Internship Program 2026 (PIV, by its Spanish acronym). This program offers a unique opportunity to conduct high-quality research in an intellectually stimulating and professionally enriching environment.
The PIV aims to support doctoral students in advancing their research —particularly thesis chapters— through close interaction with experienced researchers and senior staff at the Directorate. In previous years, participants have made significant progress on their projects, receiving constructive feedback and strengthen academic exchange.
The internship lasts up to 60 calendar days and is carried out in person at Banco de México’s facilities between June and August, with specific dates agreed upon individually.
