Columbia World Projects (CWP), an initiative of Columbia Global, is delighted to share that applications are now open for the Social Impact Fellowship, a summer and academic year-long program for rising juniors and seniors who are interested in exploring and developing skills to pursue social impact careers. Students at Columbia College, School of General Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Barnard College are eligible to apply.
Applications for the 2025-2026 program will be accepted through March 19, 2025 at 11:59pm ET.
The program begins with a competitively paid, five-week summer session designed to provide students with opportunities to deepen their knowledge and build new skills to pursue social impact initiatives and careers. It will run from July 7 to August 8 at The Forum on Columbia University’s Manhattanville campus, and summer housing will be provided for students who need it.
At the conclusion of the summer session, students will remain engaged with CWP throughout the academic year to receive mentorship, complete a capstone project, and meet social impact innovators, including participants in the Obama Foundation Scholars Program (a program which has welcomed 82 rising leaders from 60 countries to Columbia’s campus since 2018, and has served as the inspiration for the Social Impact Fellowship).
