The Summer Internship Program (PIV, by its Spanish acronym) at Banco de México’s Directorate General of Economic Research aims to attract Ph.D. students in Economics or Finance to conduct research in these fields. The internship spans 60 calendar days between June and August in person at Banco de México’s facilities. The specific dates may be agreed upon with Banco de México.
To apply, candidates must be registered as users on EconJobMarket and submit their applications via https://econjobmarket.org/positions/11517 in order to be considered for the program. The deadline for submissions is April 4, 2025, before midnight UTC or 6:00 pm Mexico City time. Early applications are encouraged. Selected candidates will be notified before May 9, 2025.
PIV interns in previous years achieved significant progress on their research projects (thesis chapter) and benefited from the feedback and interaction with staff researchers and managers.
