COLUMBIA’S FED CHALLENGE TEAM EARNS 2ND PLACE
On November 18, 2016, Columbia’s Fed Challenge Team earned 2nd place out of 41 teams competing in the annual College Fed Challenge sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The Columbia team presented an analysis of US economic conditions and forecasts, made a monetary policy recommendation, and answered difficult questions from a panel of Federal Reserve judges. Team members are (starting 3rd from the left) Sanat Kapur (’17), Taronish Irani (’18), Rafael Schwalb (’17), Raghav Bansal (’17) and Max Rosenberg (’18).
