Deadline: Monday, August 26, 2024

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is organizing a one-day, in-person workshop for junior researchers in macroeconomics to be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in New York City. The workshop will feature a morning session with Ph.D. student presenters, followed by an afternoon session with junior faculty presenting. The goal is to provide an informal setting for junior researchers (both current Ph.D. students and recent Ph.D. graduates) to receive feedback from one another and from Bank economists.

Submission Procedure
The organizers welcome theoretical and empirical submissions in macroeconomics, broadly defined. They are currently accepting submissions from Ph.D. students to present in the morning session.
Presentation slots will be 20 minutes each, and work in progress is welcome (it is not necessarily expected that participants will have a draft or be entering the final year of their Ph.D.). Students should submit their abstract using this form by the deadline on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Workshop Logistics
Lunch and refreshments will be provided; travel funding is not available. The workshop is expected to last from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing many of you this fall. Please address any questions to Jacob Weber (jake.weber@ny.frb.org).
