The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University is recruiting Predoctoral Fellows to support the research of affiliated faculty. Fellows will be given a one-year appointment beginning in the summer of 2026 with the possibility of renewal for a second year upon mutual agreement. Each fellow will work with 1-2 faculty mentors on research projects that cover a broad range of environmental and agricultural economics topics and methods. Faculty mentors for this program will include Ishan Nath, Anna Russo, Wolfram Schlenker, and Charles Taylor.
An important goal of the fellowship is to prepare fellows for doctoral research. Fellows will be exposed to a range of research tasks across various stages of the research process. Faculty mentors are committed to the mentorship and professional development of the fellows and to fostering a supportive, collaborative, and fun research environment.
Fellows will be expected to work full-time, in-person at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where they are encouraged to attend events and seminars and take courses (in the Economics department, at Salata, and/or at the Kennedy School). Fellows will receive competitive salary and benefits. International applicants are welcome to apply. For full consideration, candidates should apply by November 17th, although we may continue to consider applications on a rolling basis beyond that.
Applicants should hold or plan to receive an undergraduate degree by the summer of 2026.
