Eshaan Patel and Dafne Murillo are looking for a research assistant to work for $23/hr. for 5-15 hours per week starting immediately on a project that aims to understand whether political power can be used by firms in Peru to create costs for their competitors through the political sector.
The RA will clean a dataset of addresses of firms in Peru and input them into a Google Maps API to obtain coordinate data. The methodology used is up to the AI, but qualified applicants would be master’s students or advanced undergraduates who have skills in Python, Regular Expressions, Google Maps API, ArcGIS (optional), and prior experience working with geo-data. Basic knowledge of Spanish is recommended.
