Congratulations on nearing the end of a busy school year! My name is Kristina Chun, and I’m a hiring manager at Prompt, the single largest provider of college admissions essay feedback worldwide. We’re currently hiring part-time Writing Coaches and Academic Tutors for flexible remote work. We would love it if you could pass on our job posting to your adjunct instructors, graduate students, and alumni.
At Prompt, we don’t proofread; we provide detailed instructional feedback to help students improve their content, structure, and clarity, and we tutor students one-on-one to help them improve their writing. The Writing Coach position is a part-time W2 job with a guaranteed income over the admissions season. In addition to writing education, we also have opportunities for academic tutoring in SAT/ACT test prep and STEM subjects.
Inclusivity is important to us, and our diverse team of part-time and full-time employees come from all backgrounds. However, due to the specialized nature of our work, Writing Coaches and tutors need to have a bachelor’s degree by June of 2025, so undergraduate peer tutors who do not plan on graduating this spring may not be a good fit.
