The Hoover Institution at Stanford University is hosting a one-week public policy boot camp from August 18-24, 2019.

We are contacting you because of your connection to students interested in public policy. This program, which covers the essentials of today’s national and international public policy landscape, will instruct college students and recent graduates in the economic, political, and social aspects of US public policy.

Topics are chosen based on their immediate relevance to today’s public policy challenges, meaning that students will focus on developing and applying critical reasoning skills to public policy formation. They will also have a unique opportunity to interact with the faculty of Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, which is made up of scholars in economics, government, political science, and related fields.

The program is free of charge to accepted participants (including lodging and meals). Attendees will be responsible for travel costs and incidentals.

The early application deadline is January 1, 2019 with no application fee required. All applications submitted after January 1st will require the standard application fee and are due March 4, 2019.
