The 25th Carroll Round Steering Committee, would like to issue a final call for all interested undergraduate students at Columbia University to apply to this year’s Carroll Round Undergraduate Economics Research Conference.
This year’s conference will be held at Georgetown University from April 16 to April 19, 2026. In addition to presentation sessions, we hold keynote lectures and events throughout the weekend. A list of our past speakers can be found here.
Domestic applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until 11:59 PM March 21st, 2026. The Steering Committee recognizes that applications made at this time may represent works in progress.
We are committed to making the conference accessible to those who wish to participate. We encourage all applicants whose research demonstrates econometric rigor and original insight to apply. Funds may be available to cover the cost of transportation to Washington for participants. In the past, the Steering Committee has been able to meet the vast majority of participants’ outstanding financial needs.
On behalf of the Steering Committee, we ask that you forward this letter to all interested undergraduate students and faculty advisors of research-oriented economics courses, and encourage them to apply for this year’s Carroll Round. For more information on the history of the conference and the application process, please visit our website.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at carrollround@georgetown.edu. We look forward to receiving your application!
Best regards,
Danny Liu, Isabel Stein, and Michael Sapozhnikov
