The University of Essex is delighted to host the 3rd Essex PhD Conference in Applied Economics on 20th and 21st March 2025, which will be held in person at the University’s Colchester Campus. Please find attached the Call for Papers.
This two-day conference is organised by PhD students in the University of Essex Economics Department and the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER). The event provides a platform for PhD students and early career researchers to connect with peers, share their work, and receive valuable feedback in a welcoming environment.
We are honoured to have Professor Imran Rasul (UCL) and Dr. Ben Etheridge (University of Essex) as our keynote speakers for this year’s conference.
The conference is open to PhD students at any stage of their studies, as well as to early career researchers who completed their PhD in the academic year 2023-2024.
Applicants are invited to submit extended abstracts in all areas of Applied Economics. Submissions will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee composed of faculty members from the University of Essex Economics Department. Please note, there is no participation or registration fee.
The Call for Papers is now open. Applicants can submit their entries by completing the application form here. The deadline for submissions is 3rd January 2025, 11:59 PM (GMT).
