My name is Riccardo Venchiarutti, and I’m the chairman of the I.S.E.O. Institute, a cultural association founded in 1998 by Franco Modigliani (Nobel Laureate in Economics 1985) and then chaired by Robert Solow (Nobel Laureate in Economics 1987). Currently, our honorary chairman is prof. Michael Spence (Nobel Laureate in Economics 2001).
Our institute is organizing the 21st edition of the international I.S.E.O. Summer School in Economics (14-21 June 2025) entitled “Future Prospects for the Global Economy”.
Our summer course will feature Robert Merton, Nobel Prize in Economics 1997 – as well as renowned professors such as Bernard Hoekman (Director of Global Economics at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute in Florence), Elena Verdolini (professor of Political Economy at University of Brescia and senior scientist at the European Institute on Economics and the Environment), Christopher Rauh (professor of Economics & Data Science, Cambridge University, and PI at conflictforecast.org and EconAI), Christoph Trebesch (professor of Macroeconomics, Kiel Institute for the World Economy and co-Founder of the Geopolitics and Economics Initiative) and Robert Wescott (former advisor to Us president Clinton, president Keybridge Research).
The I.S.E.O. Summer School is reserved to post graduate students in Economics (master, PhD, teaching assistants and young economists) from all over the world, and it’s going to take place in presence in the picturesque town of Iseo, Northern Italy. Our Institute will also provide partial scholarships to talented participants, and it will be happy to discuss new academic partnership with international universities willing to register some of their best postgraduate students.
Following the suggestion that some of your students gave me, I would like to ask you if you could be so kind to forward some useful information about the next edition of the I.S.E.O. Summer School to all the graduate students in Economics enrolled at your university. In this regard, here below you can find a detailed description of our course.
