Walmart Economics is hiring juniors for Summer 2023 Internships!

Walmart Economics applies data science, behavioral economics, and experimentation to problems across the company – leveraging Walmart’s vast data to understand causal impacts and influence business strategy.

We are looking for students with strong backgrounds in economics and mathematics, as well as some coding experience. The internship is a unique mix between a data science position and an RA position, and can lead to a full-time role on the economics team. Some projects on the team are more business-oriented but others are very academic: our projects are often related to IO, applied econometrics, and behavioral economics. A number of former members of the team have gone on to pursue PhDs in economics at top graduate programs — e.g. MIT, Harvard, Stanford GSB — so this is a good alternative for students considering predocs after graduation.

For more information about the team and role, please see the job application.

If students have any questions they should feel free to reach out to me at joseph.campbell0@walmart.com.
