The Research In Color Foundation, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, is hosting their annual conference. This year’s conference, with the theme A Global View of Economics, will be held virtually on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 9:00am – 12:00pm via Zoom.

The Research In Color Foundation (RIC) is a 501C(3) non-profit organization which seeks to increase the number (and improve the retention) of scholars of color in economics and economics-adjacent disciplines, through mentorship and financial support. Through a mentorship centered approach, RIC matches minority students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in economics and economics-adjacent fields with seasoned economists as mentors. The mentees and mentors work collaboratively on a 8-month long independent research project that mirrors the expectations of a Ph.D. program. These mentees are then given the opportunity to present their research projects to their mentors and other interested parties at our annual Research In Color Conference.

This year the conference will feature keynote speakers Prof. Dania Francis and Prof. Anna Stansbury who will discuss our conference theme: A Global View of Economics, as well as two panels with an all-star line-up of speakers.
