WES 2020 applications are now open! Deadline for applications is December 10th, and you will hear back for interviews by December 12th.
The Warwick Economics Summit is an international student-led conference, which attracts revered and inspirational speakers from across the globe. Students from many different countries choose to attend the Summit to gain insight and experience from distinguished speakers as well as network with attendees. The first edition took place in 2002 and every year since the Summit has grown to become the event it is today, welcoming over 500 delegates per year. The Summit is a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from renowned speakers in an environment tailored for spreading knowledge.
Past speakers include 6 Nobel laureates, Stanley Fischer (Former Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve), Gabriella Ramos (OECD Chief of Staff and Sherpa to the G20), John B. Taylor (Professor of Economics, Stanford University), Lionel Zinsou (former Prime Minister of Benin), Mario Monti and Enrico Letta (Former Prime Ministers of Italy). The first confirmed speaker for this year is Zanny Minton Beddoes, Editor in Chief of The Economist.
Location: Warwick Economics Summit at the University of Warwick, Coventry, UK.
Dates: From the 31st of January to the 2nd of February 2020.
You will be provided accommodation on Gibbet Hill Road at the Radcliffe Conference Centre, CV4 7AJ, UK, for the duration of the summit. The delegation will have breakfast included on the 2nd of February and will receive lunch vouchers to be used on the 1st and 2nd of February, at one of the on-campus facilities. The whole trip including flights and accommodation is funded. Please be aware that you should bring your own pocket money for travel to and from the airport and for some meals at the summit.
