In this year’s annual essay contest, we’re asking students to explore the ideas of Milton Friedman and uncover the connections between economic freedom and other freedoms. Both undergraduate and graduate students have the chance to win cash, have their ideas published and learn about a key economic thinker of our time.

We’ve recently released a video series and the Essential Milton Friedman primer which can be accessed for free. Both of these resources can help students explore the ideas of Milton Friedman in order that they can integrate them into their essays.

The rules, essay guidelines, and past examples of winning essays can be found on our website at www.studentessaycontest.org and the deadline for submissions is June 1, 2020.
