The final deadline for the Hoover Institution Summer Policy Boot Camp is Friday, March 15th! This one-week public policy boot camp that will take place from August 18-24, 2019 on campus at Stanford University.

We are contacting you because of your connection to those interested in public policy. This program, which covers the essentials of today’s national and international public policy landscape, will instruct college students and recent graduates in the economic, political, and social aspects of US public policy.

Topics are chosen based on their immediate relevance to today’s public policy challenges, meaning that students will focus on developing and applying critical reasoning skills to public policy formation. They will also have a unique opportunity to interact with the faculty of Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, which is made up of scholars in economics, government, political science, and related fields.

The program is free of charge to accepted participants (including lodging and meals). Attendees will be responsible for travel costs and incidentals. Please note that the final extended application deadline is March 15, 2019.

If you believe the HISPBC program would be of interest to your students, please forward this information to them directly or via a department email list. If we should be in touch with anyone else in your department, please forward this message or let us know whom we should contact.
