Research Assistant – Columbia Business School

Short-term Research Assistant needed to help clean/process data. Get involved in a research project with Prof. Cailin Slattery, an economics professor in Columbia Business School, working with data from local newspapers to analyze the political benefit of positive news coverage of job creation policies. We need help with cleaning and reformatting the text of news articles from Proquest. The intent is for the RA to work for 1-2 months with a PhD student to help clean up the data.

Qualified candidates should have skills in Excel and excellent attention to detail. The task can be quite tedious, so it is important the candidate is well organized and detail oriented.

Hourly rate will be $25/hour with an expectation of approximately 15-20 hours/week. Due to current visa restrictions, the candidate must be US-based.
