Research Assistant – Decision, Risk, and Operations Division, Columbia Business School

Research Assistant needed to help clean/process data. Get involved in a research project with two Columbia Business School professors and a PhD candidate working with Columbia University Medical Center to improve staffing in Intensive Care Units. We need help with cleaning nurse staffing data and patient severity data, processing and reformatting the data, and possibly conducting some statistical analysis (e.g. t-tests and regressions).

Qualified candidates should have skills in Excel and a coding language such as Python or R. The candidate must also be willing to do online HIPAA training (~2-3 hours) in order to work with patient health records.

Hourly rate will be $20/hour with an expectation of approximately 15 hours of work/week. Due to current visa restrictions, the candidate must be US-based. There is potential for more opportunities to get involved if the candidate works well with the research team and is interested.

Interested candidates should email a resume, including GPA and relevant course work, to cwchan@columbia.edu and jing.dong@columbia.edu.

Please use the subject line: ICU RA interest.
