Technological change, the future of jobs and development

Professor Joseph E. Stiglitz will examine the impact of rapid technological change on employment and livelihoods. In exploring the implications for policy makers, Professor Stiglitz will consider how the combined challenges of technological change, climate change and shifts in globalisation should be addressed, with particular reference to low- and middle-income countries. The event will be chaired by Ian Goldin, Oxford University Professor of Globalisation and Development and Director of the Oxford Martin Programmes on Technological and Economic Change; Future of Work and Future of Development.
