The Office of Financial Research (OFR) within the U.S. Treasury Department is pleased to announce the inaugural PhD Symposium on Financial Stability, to be held on October 25, 2018 at OFR headquarters.

The symposium will focus on highlighting student research on the dynamics governing financial markets and their implications for financial stability. The paper submissions will be restricted to papers on topics related to financial stability. These topics include banking, investment managers, macroprudential policies, financial regulation, asset pricing bubbles, tail risk, financial markets, interconnectedness of financial institutions, contagion risk, risk management, and financial innovation

Submissions must include a full version of the paper (no extended abstracts), along with their background information (i.e., CV) by September 14, 2018 in order to be considered.*Please send completed papers and background information by email to PhD_Symposium_2018@ofr.treasury.gov <mailto:PhD_Symposium_2018@ofr.treasury.gov>and include “PHD SYMPOSIUM” in the subject line. Notification of acceptance will be provided by October 1, 2018.
