Every year the Center on Japanese Economy and Business nominates a Columbia student for the Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Scholarship for one year of undergraduate or graduate study at a Japanese university.  The Foundation has always accepted our nominee. While in principle priority is given to students interested in business or science, in practice, students can be from any field of study, and a command of Japanese is not required to apply for the scholarship.
Students who would like to be selected as the Columbia nominee for the scholarship should submit the application form to the Center on Japanese Economy and Business (Attn.: JP Perez) no later than Friday, February 28, 2020. Applicants will be interviewed in early March to determine a nominee. The results will be announced soon thereafter. Please note that the successful applicant will need to make a separate application for admission to the Japanese university or college of his/her choice.
