The FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) will again host the Academic Challenge in the 2021–2022 school year. Last year, the quality and number of responses to our challenge question exceeded our expectations.

The competition this year will follow the same structure as the 2020–2021 edition: a fall written submission round open to teams of undergraduate students at all U.S. universities and colleges and a live presentation round in April 2022 for finalist teams. More information on the 2021–2022 FDIC Academic Challenge, including the Challenge question, will be released later in the summer.

For more details on the Academic Challenge, including the materials from our 2020–2021 edition, please visit https://www.fdic.gov/analysis/academic-challenge/.

If you have any questions, please send them to AcademicChallenge@fdic.gov.
